I had to cut out a lot of activities like movies, concerts, and almost any activity that involved a lot of people. When I realized I was snapping at people who made undesirable noises, I started to isolate myself, which led to loneliness and depression.
I went to a few doctors, most of whom were at a loss as to what to do for me. The better doctors actually listened and gave my earplugs, others said there was no hope, and one said I should be grateful I could hear because most people had the opposite problem.
Then I saw the ad for the Silverstein Institute and my hope changed. I realize more and more how things are now better for me and those around me. I never dreamed that there would be treatment for this problem.
I am so grateful I found Dr. Silverstein and the staff at Silverstein Institute.
