Living in the sunshine state means we Floridians spend a lot of time enjoying the water. But what happens when water gets stuck inside your ears? When water sits in your ear canal it can build bacteria and cause an infection. Can ear infections and swimmer’s ear be prevented? The one-legged hopping dance can be effective, but using a rubbing alcohol solution in the ears to help remove moisture works well. Water, on the other hand, is not the only cause to blame for painful ear conditions. Sweat, a narrow ear canal, excessive earwax, or a scratch can also create an infection.
